Victor "REEC" Lopez is a Charlotte, NC- based artist. He was born and raised in The Bronx, NYC. REEC has lived Charlotte for seven years and returned to the art scene three years ago. His work GenApp was featured in Evolution of Word & Art: Ekphrastic Exhibit at the Charlotte Art League and was paired with poet Isaac Akanmu.

Artist Note: My painting depicts the importance of technology and food in a growing world. I want people to get an image of the future ahead. As humans, what we are capable of could be a negative or a positive outcome, so we must plan now for a positive one. Then food and technology can coexist to evolve mankind instead of enslaving us in a never ending scrolling time-line.
