Beryl Goering
Bio: Beryl Goering graduated with a degree in art while residing in Perth, Western Australia. Afterwards, she travelled and worked in England and Europe, settling in Toronto where she returned to her practice of art. She has taken numerous art classes in acrylic painting, portraiture, mono-printing, pottery, sculpture, producing a usable cardboard chair, later featured at the end of year exhibit.
Beryl works in different mediums—acrylic, oil sticks, and with a special interest in Sumi-é brush painting using minimal brushstrokes, a calming, contemplative experience that she finds useful in approaching all her work. In abstract painting she relies on her knowledge of color and composition. Three of her paintings are previously featured on book covers.
