Alzheimer's

Your eyes
the furthest ignored city
in our nearest geography
as if never visited
but never abandoned, tough

In my mind, no wrinkles cover your face
as we travel the gravel roads of motherhood
when you raised me from child
This white color
is not the color of your hair
but
my footprint on your cheek

Yes. I know
memories
sting
Your voice—
a silent song
of the nearest geography
but my name is not
in your singing

speaking
forgotten for a while
gesture of your eyes
still remembered

My childhood dissolves behind the gravel roads of your face
but I can still hear you
in your deep silence
