Bruce Gunther

Bruce Gunther is a former journalist and writer who lives in Michigan. He's a graduate of Central Michigan University. He's influenced by various poets, including Charles Simic, James Wright, Ada Limon, Kim Addonizio, and Octavio Paz. His poetry has appeared in Arc Poetry, the Comstock Review, the Dunes Review, Modern Haiku, and others.

Outdoor Cat

She returned after three nightswith a small chunk missing from her left ear but otherwiseunscathed. Went straightto her food bowl and crunched loudly as if nothing happened. Even if it did, it wasnone of my business.
